Social Media Marketing & Content Strategy

Idaho Education Association

Non-profit in Boise, Idaho   |   Industry: Education/Advocacy

The challenge

A lack of digital presence and inconsistent social media management across local affiliates led to missed engagement opportunities and declining member morale. Additionally, staff lacked the training needed to represent the organization effectively online.

My role & approach

I led a digital revitalization by building a unified brand voice, training local chapter managers, and launching a multi-channel content strategy across social media and email.

Key actions:

  • Developed platform-specific playbooks and internal training systems

  • Created a content strategy focused on community engagement and morale-boosting storytelling

  • Used analytics to refine strategy and ensure brand consistency across chapters

💡 What this taught me: Empowering decentralized teams with strong frameworks can scale trust, engagement, and clarity in mission-driven orgs.

The results

📈 +1204% digital growth across platforms within one school year
💬 Increased engagement and visibility among members and non-members alike
💰 Content was
recognized by legislators and helped re-establish credibility for the brand

✅ This experience helped me bridge technical and creative teams while owning both strategy and execution — and shaped how I now lead systems that scale.
