The challenge

The lack of digital representation and a sense of community eroded member morale, causing the organization to miss crucial opportunities to engage with its audience through social media. Additionally, the social media managers from each local association affiliated with ours lacked the necessary training and knowledge to operate their digital platforms effectively. Therefore, the leaders of the organization entrusted me with the task of creating guidelines and training lessons for our members, ultimately benefiting the entire association.

My approach

As Content Marketing Manager, I implemented a targeted plan, creating high-quality, platform-tailored content to boost online visibility. Managing engaging social media accounts and orchestrating impactful email campaigns, I emphasized community engagement. Leading a dynamic team, I used analytics to refine strategies, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all channels. This comprehensive approach resulted in a strengthened online presence and meaningful connections with our audience.

The Results

By the end of the school year, we were looking at a growth of 1204% on our digital platforms. The creation of relatable, down-to-earth content, along with member highlights to boost morale, was a success. The implementation of a cohesive brand across local affiliates, as well as printed materials, created a consistent brand image that improved brand awareness and engagement from non-members. Our content was also recognized by legislators and political figures like Sonia Galaviz.
